About Yvonne Bynoe
Yvonne Bynoe is a Senior Fellow at the Future Focus 2020 Center at Wake Forest University. As a writer, activist and sought-after public speaker, her work has focused on political, cultural and economic issues that impact the Hip Hop generation.

She has published two books: Stand & Deliver: Political Activism, Leadership and Hip Hop Culture and the Encyclopedia of Rap and Hip Hop Culture. Bynoe is also the co-founder and former president of Urban Think Tank, the first Hip Hop generation policy-based organization. In 2006 she established the Stand & Deliver: Agent of Change award, a financial grant to support the work of grassroots activists. She is also the founder and editor of Hip Hop DeCoded, an informational monthly e-newsletter for people who use Hip Hop to educate.
